I am currently on my first semester of nursing school (Junior 1). The semester was so stressful, overwhelming and hard. I am failing two of my classes, Pharmacology and Therapeutics and I am really worried about it. My nursing school policy is that when you fail 2 classes (anything lower than C and WF), you are out of the program and you can't apply after 5 years. (tough huh!) I think other universities can't acccept you either. Anyways, I am still sticking on my classes and studying really hard so I can make an "A" on my final exam on both classes. I don't know if I can make that high grade but I am not giving up. Sometimes I feel like nursing is not for me because of my bad experience at school. Do you think this policy was a little harsh especially that we have nursing shortage? Any other options to what I should do or where I to go if ever I fail? (I am thinking about community college and get my ADN). If I am having a hard time at nursing school, will changing my major help me? TY

Hey guys! Sorry to bug you so much about Harvard, but I would like to get your opinion on something. Here is my status so far: (I'm not in high school yet. I'm only in 8th grade, but how do you think I'm doing so far) I have had straight A's or a 4.0 GPA, honor student, volunteer 4 days a week working on 5, in only one club(because in my middle school you can only be in one otherwise I would be in more), great end of grade scores, and connections to Harvard University. When I get into high school I plan on doing a whole lot more, but tell me how I'm doing so far! Thanks!

I was thinking about changing my major to history because I think it's really interesting. Especially Ancient history. The problem is I'm not good at remembering names and dates. It takes me a while to remember peoples names after I have just met them. Should I pursue this field or should I just stick with business? What do you think?

I'm going to be applying to law school and will need recomendation letters. Is simply mailing former professors at my undergraduate school a letter explaining my situation and asking them if they could do it okay, or should I talk to them in person or on the phone?

I'm considering going back to college for another degree, one that would require me to take at least two statistics classes. The problem is that I'm really bad at math, I had hardly any math education in high school and took foreign language instead of math classes for my other degree. I barely learned algebra and will have to review it. For anyone who has taken statistics in college, do you think that I can teach myself enough and get enough tutoring to do well in these classes?

If a teacher is an instrument of education and they are teaching worldly ideas, then why not teach a minimum of three ideas rather than a an idea that they claim is academic? logic? Why don't they have to qualify where they found this information, was it another teacher or did the Board of Directors of that college approve that information. And, offer a profile on that board member or who ever is making that decision. As paying students we would want a well rounded education from both liberal and conservative sides so we can make an educated decision.

How can I know if a degree offered by a University will be valid for most other universities. Is there any official website of a regulatory body? let's say for instance is a BS in English in Goldsmiths College recognized by Oxford if I wanted to do a masters?

Im curious because, I have a college degree and statistics show that a college graduate earns substantially more than those without that "piece of paper" However, not one company, I have worked for, asked for "proof". Could it be the level of the position? Or perhaps, the size of the company? Hell, I guess I can list ( on my resume )that I have a Master's degree if they're not gonna check. What do yall think??

I am currently taking Accounting as my first degree. My School will offer students to take another degree if they have sufficient grade at first year last semester. I am good at computing and I love mathematics. Both degrees satisfy me. I just want to choose one with best suit both me and everyone else. Anyone can share his/her experience or opinion with me?
