I have been wondering if I can go to Harvard College or University when I graduate high school. I always thought I could, but one of my friends said I couldn't. Thank you guys!

You'd have to be on the top honors of your class with excellent grades and a high GPA that's more than 4.0. Plus, you'd need to have lots of clubs and activities in your high school career to show that you'd be a great representative of their school.

They do accept first time freshmans into Harvard, but I think what your friends mean is according to the odds of being accepted to Harvard. Harvard is a very hard school to get into because they have very high standards in their students.

It is a little hard to tell without you providing some more information.

The typical Harvard undergraduate student goes to a good high school. Over 75% of the students scored at least 1400 on the SATs with 25% scoring over 1560. 94% of the students are in the top 10% of their HS graduating class -- with most having close to a 4.0 average.

If this is you, you have a chance.

About 11% of those who apply are accepted.

Yes. I mean as long as you've been accepted, hehe :) But yeah, you start the following fall. :)
