I am an overseas student. I have an offer from the University of York. I would like to know whether this is a good university or not. In my home country, some people said this university is one of the top ten in UK. Some people said they have not heard about this University. What do you think about this university? Thank you.

Has anyone ever attended this school, if so, what has your experience been. I have heard they are on probation and may lose their accreditation if they don't pass the upcoming review. Know anything about this?

I am graduating in Dec. with a degree in Elem. Ed. I really like kids, I KNOW I could be a good teacher, have had tons of experience, and have spent the past 5 yrs of my life working for it. However, I don't know if it's what I want to do at THIS time in my life. AHH!!!

My fiance and I are getting married next year and his job will easily support us. Don't get me wrong, I WANT to work, I just don't know if teaching is right for me at this point in my life. I have thought about doing something with weddings, but I haven't had any experience at it, other than planning my own.

My mom is a teacher (the biggest reason that I decided to become one). I don't want to disappoint my family because they have thought I was going to be a teacher all along, but I do want to do what's right for me in my life.

I feel like I'm back to freshman year, not knowing what I want to do. How do I decide what's right for me? Anyone ever experienced anything similar?

Stories would be great!!

I'm going to be a Junior this fall in high school.

Last year i got a final GPA of 3.3, but that was because of one class, and the rest of my averages were 3.6 and up.
Is that going to really hurt me for applying?

I do not play any sports, but I do have 30+ volunteer hours in, and will be getting more next summer

I havent taken the SAT's of ACT yet, but we will assume i get an average score.

What do you think are my chances of getting a scholarship based on this? What would I need to do to improve my chances?

Also, what kind of school could I get in, I'm looking along the east coast..from virginia upwards..only schools I do not want to go to are penn state and virginia state.

Thank you if you actually read all of that haha

Looking for ones on the east coast, from virginia northward.

And cheap as in total costs-under 30,000

I have always wanted to obtain a college degree (maybe some advanced degrees too) I just got put out a semester of college at university becasue of poor grades. I am a single parent of three, in a bad relationship, and have a moocher living off of me while I had been laid off. During this time off I have gotten the moocher out of my home, got a new job paying more and trying to get out of the bad relationship. Anyway, I don't thnk anyone at my University cares about this but will I ever get the chance to go back, finish the 2 semesters I have left, and get accepted into a family and consumer science master program. I have a strong intrest in law and thought about ok if my undergrad sucked, but my masters grades is great, and I can do well on the LSAT can I get a seond chance and the fact that I am minority help. What do you think? (A professor I have told me of this very thing happening to him and look at how well he did for himself).

However, I do want a salary $50-60k+. Would I have a better chance of findinng this kind of job by being an Accounting major orr a Finance major?
