Most of the Book store sites (Amazon, B&N).
But... be careful! Don't wait till the last minute or they'll be gone. The website w/ show them as still available & you'll wait while you get behind in your reading. Then after 3 weeks you'll get a notice that it'd already been sold!
Don't even ask me how I know this!!!!!
I know that a lot of times it seems like you don't need to read the book. But YOU DO!!! I aced many tests because I read the book. In fact w/ one teacher who used the test bank, I got points back that the key had said were wrong, I showed him in the book that I was right. You have no idea how important it is to get the best grades you can. Your transcripts w/ follow you for the rest of your life. That I didn't have to find out the hard way, I didn't go to college till I was in my 30's & had the good sense to know it.

My daughter's roommates were sitting around talking about this the other night and most everyone complains about the exorbitant costs of textbooks today. It certainly is one big ripoff on limited budgets, and I wish that legislation would be implemented towards many of these publishers who are gouging college students! Anyway, I understand from the chatter that Craig's list in your area, if you are located in the States, has been an excellent source. You just want to make sure you check on the dates and that your professor is not using a newer text if it was last years. Truly, I found that there is not much you miss if you get last years, even though they printed a new one for the year. If it varies that much, you can pick it up from a classmate.

www.powells.com out of Portland, OR. Had a great experience with them. Sold the books on Ebay after and got what I paid back.
