Apply for your associates degree at the community college. It should be easy to transfer to most universities with that done.I definetly would appeal to the university. If you saw a doctor, have him write you a note that you can submit with you letter of appeal. Most universities understand the seriousness of depression. They should be understanding, exspecially when you are honest on your appeal letter.
Please go see a doctor if you haven't. My husband went thru serious depression and the medication they gave him has literally saved his life. He is much happier now.It took him a long time to admit he needed help. Good luck!

The best course of action is to look at what universities you're interested in attending later and taking community college courses that you can transfer to that degree.

Most people finish a two years associate degree and begin applying at the end of their first year. Essentially what you are doing is creating a positive trend in your academic record so it needs to be at least a few semesters of work.

Try going to the community college counseling center and talk to them about your specific needs. They'll have the best information both about learning how to overcome problems that you've had in the past and present and giving you better coping skills for the future.

After a couple of semesters of classes, it would show diligence and you shouldn't have any trouble transferring your credits, as long as they are credits that are transferable to the college of your choice.

Please seek professional help for your severe depression. Medication can truly help, and you will see how much there is for you going forward. Severe depression is not just something that will pass. Counseling and treatment is so important. Severe depression can be very unhealthy and freeze you in the quality of life you would like to have. Bless you. My prayers are for your good health and that you seek help and find answers.
