I have a 2.73 gpa and will probly bring that up this semester to at least a 2.9.

It mostly depends on your academic achievement and demonstrated need. If you have stellar grades and standardized test results, you may qualify for scholarships or can get into those elite private universities that will cover tuition for you if your total annual income is below a certain amount.

But as a general rule, the public state universities in your state are usually very affordable. I think you can get a good education at any university, it all depends on you.

I would suggest applying to a state school or a community college. At the community college, try and get your gpa high enough and then transfer to a 4 year university, you'll get priority and have a higher chance of getting a scholarship. you can also get financial aid for the state schools if you qualify.

try public universities but with that GPA you are going to have to try a lot harder to make it.....if you get ur GPA up to like 3.5 then you can easily get free money and a full ride to a great number of universities..
