There's the Associate's degree first which is A.S. (all s**t)

Then the Bachelor's, which is B.S. (bulls**t)

Then the Master's , which is M.S. (more of the same)

Then the Doctorate's or Ph.D. (piled higher and deeper)

LOL..just kidding.. Not all are Science degrees. You can also get an A.A. (Associate of Arts) an A.A.S. (Associate of Applied Science) a B.A. (Bachelor's of Arts) , a B.A.S. (Bachelor's of Applied Science) a B.S. (Bachelor's of Science) an MBA (Master's in Buisiness Administration) and so on and so forth. However, an associate's degree is only a 2 year degree obtained from many community colleges (although you can get an associate's at a University too) and a 4 year degree or a Bachelor's can only be obtained at a State College or an accredited University.

A bachelor's degree is obtained at a University or other Accredited institution. An Associates is obtained at junior or community colleges. A bachelor's can get you more career oportunities than an Associates. So, Bachelor's is higher. But it also takes longer, 4 years compared to 2

Bachelor's degree is higher. It takes more credits to earn it -- usually four years worth. An associate's degree only takes two years.

First there is the associate degree or A.A.
The next level is the B.A. or B.S. (Bachelor of Arts or Sciences).
Then there is the M.A. or M.S.
Then there is the PhD....

It may be a little different depending upon what field you are talking about. These are generalities.
