i have to write applications for high school and i totally am writing bum essays. i can't think! i've been working on them for like, 6 WEEKS! and i still cannot come up with anything worth reading. i don't know if i'll be accepted into high school. i'm so stupid. any advice?

Ok so on my university of Kentucky application it's asking if I have won any awards and i haven't yet though. I have over 300 community service hours and at the end of the year i'm sure i am going to receive a silver cord which is an award that is given to students with more then 250 hours. So is it ok if i put silver cord as an award even though i haven't received it yet or no?

I want to know If I can get into an Ivy or equivalent school (MIT, Caltech, Stanford.) I was born and raised in Puerto Rico so I get a big break from that. My GPA is 3.96 of 4.0 (school has no honors). My max scores on the SAT were M-700 CR-680 W-580 but I want to study Engineering so the writing shouldn't matter too much. I'm in my school's math and science teams, belong to the NHS and Student Council, and took the most advanced courses my school offers, some of which were basically made for me exclusively. Even with that though, I know it's still pretty hard to get into schools like Harvard and MIT. Do you think I can make it? If not, what can I do to help my chances?

I played French Horn in a band, practiced fencing, and help with charity drives when I can.

I havea 4.3 GPA, am taking 5 APs in a hard military academic prep boarding school. I have the highest leadership position in my military school and JROTC. I am also class vice-president and ASB officer. I am involved with Boy Scouts, Beta, Key, and Lions Club and other service clubs. I am a team captain of varsity track, CC, and rifle team. I have won many military and academic honors. My highest SAT score is 1850 and ACT score is 28. Is it possible for me to get to Stanford, Johns Hopkins, U Penn, Cornell, Duke, Emory, or any of the Ivys?

For example, I don't believe in the idea of an eternal, immutable 'soul,' though I say it. When I swear, I'll throw out an occasional 'God' or 'Jesus.' Or, I might say someone is 'guilty as sin.' On the non-religious front, maybe you say, 'Button up or you'll catch cold,' even though you may be a microbiologist who knows better.

How do you find out if you can transfer credits from one university to another? For example, my family is looking at relocating to the southern states and currently live in Michigan. I am attending Davenport University online and would love to transfer to the University of Texas online. Would it be better to get mt associates at the University I am at now and then try to get my bachelors at Texas? Someone who knows how this works and can give me some real advice please help.
