I learnt a non-English quote of Milan Kundera which said: "there are two kinds of journey, one is only for reaching the destination, which makes the life a matter of two points, birth and death; the other involves vision and mind in the scenery and events along the way, which would result in a rich life". Can anybody give me the original context(probably in French)?

Hi i'm trying to write a story and i was just wondering what you all think of my first sentence.
All i could hear was the rain bashing against my bedroom window,as I sat there staring out into the dark and gloomy night.

As a public school teacher, I find homeschooling to be ridiculous and have a largely negative impact on a child's life. I want some pro-homeschoolers to show me how you, many of which have no degree, are suited to teach children and bring them up to be successful. Show me how you can create real social experiences (which are vital) in a homeschool setting. Show me how homeschooling prepares you for the real world. Show me how the absence of things such as a science laboratory can not affect the way that your child learns. If you can truthfully show me that homeschooling is legit, there's a good chance that I will change my mind. I've known many families who have homeschooled and they all have very socially awkward kids who may have 'graduated' at 16, but would have failed out of a classroom setting. Their kids go to school in their pajamas and have month-long breaks whenever they want to. It truly seems silly and inconsistent, among many other things. I'm just running out of characters

I'm supposed to sign up for a "New Student Orientation" at University of Arizona for this summer, but I'm not sure if I should do the whole "stay in a dorm room w/ another student" thing or If I should just stay in a nearby hotel. Also, do parents go to these orientation things with their kids? U of A charges $75 for each additional guest, so it kind of made me wonder if parents are even supposed to go. FYI... the UofA orientation is basically just taking a series of placement tests, sitting through some long presentations, getting your student ID, etc... but this is all over the course of two days.

I was wondering if you had to have former experience with a certain sport to play it in college. I would love to be a part of a sports group in college and start a new sport, but i am afraid that since i have never played that sport i will still not be able to play it in college.

Is this true or are there more beginner groups or any open groups?

I'm currently living at home and attending a community college. Problems at home have been stressing me out and I'm at my breaking point. This has been going on for over two years now, which is why I dropped out of a four-year university and took an entire year off.

Once again, I can't handle being here and yet, I can't afford to be on my own with what I earn from my part-time job.

I just want to get out of here so that I can focus with school and get these people who bother me out of my head. This is just too much for me. They cause me too much pain.

I don't have anywhere else to go.

Can I get a loan for this? Advice?
