It must be a device in the crash cart used in the I.C.U , but i'd like to know exactly what it is .

Code Blue is a Cardiac Arrest ( Heart Attack). The crash cart has everything you need on it to try and revive the patient.
A Defibrillator, Oxygen, etc.

code blue is just the 'shout-out' for all personel that are trained to work the crash cart in an emergency..... same as code red would be for a fire alert....
