I have made my mind up about homeschooling my 5 year old son. However, I am not sure when I should start. Any advice would be helpful. On one hand, I can start him now and simply do not send him back after christmas break. I can continue to take my real estate license course 2 evenings per week for 10 weeks. On the other hand, I can let him finish the year out with his friends and take a two week day real estate course. I would enroll him in the afterschool program for two weeks that he has been begging to go to (because this girl he likes from school is there), then start him on 1st grade work during the summer. I plan on homeschooling him year round using the curriculum from Calvert. I am simply stuck on what to do. My husband gives no help on this. He simply says "whatever you want to do is fine with me." What do you guys think. Any suggestions would really be helpful. Thanks.

if you breath in smoke from the burning part of a smoke, or get it in you eye, it burns; yet if you inhale it throught the filter it doesen't (at least not as bad)? it is all being burned the same. maybe it is less concentrated? maybe not as hot? -stumped kenny

I would like to go back to school to get a 4 year degree in mechanical engineering. I am really not in a good position to relocate right now and there are no engineering schools in my area, so I am wondering if there are any good online schools for mechanical engineering? Given the field of engineering I don't know if an online school would be a good idea, but has any one ever heard of an online engineering school?

I was just curious if there was a way to calculate how much of your financial aid you would receive back after your college tuition's paid by it. I'm currently enrolled in online classes at University of Phoenix, and I got about $6000 in financial aid for my first half of my academic year ... but my first courses were only $1900 altogether, and I assume the other classes will be about the same...?
