Jagatish is actually an APBHRANSH. The correct name is Jagdish. In sanskrit the sandhi of two words -
Jag + Eesh = gives Jagdeesh.
In fact ' t ' and Ee combine to form D in this case. And
Jagdeesh means Eeshwar (GOD).
I suppose now you know the meaning.
