Anything that isn't a science, social science, fine art or business course.

It would include English, any foreign language, History, Philosophy, Religious Studies, Art history, Classics and rhetoric -- and possible anthropology.

Some schools may include some of the social sciences (sociology, economics, psychology) -- or may include things like WOmen's Studies, African-American Studies, Middle-Eastern Studies, etc

Your school probably has a list of classes that you can take to fulfill this requirement. Check with your advisor or with the registrar (you can probably find somehting on the web).
