That area doesn't exist. Now many scholars use Before Common Era and After Common Era and mark it at the same time because they beleive that using an era that is important to one culture is bad.

BC means Before Christ and AD means Ano (or Ana i don't remember how to spell it) Domino which means in the year of our lord. AD does not mean, After Death like some people think. There is no period btwn BC and AD. and as someone already suggested historians are not using these terms as often anymore.

There is no period of time between BC and AD.
BC is before the birth of Christ and AD is after the birth of Christ.
BC = before the Christian era; used following dates before the supposed year Christ was born; "in 200 BC".
AD = anno domini; (used in dates to mean after the birth of Jesus Christ; also used by non-Christians)
Example: in 630 AD; in the seventh century AD.

Before Christ (Before Common Era) and Anno Domini (Common Era)
There is no in between
Also confusing matters is the fact that historians now believe that the Christian Era dating is a couple of years off on the year Christ was born.
Before the Christian Era years, the most common form of dating was in regnal year.

It went from 1 B.C directly to 1 A.D. There was no year zero or anything else in between them.
