Due to the color of Crooks’s skin, Curly does not let him take part in many of the other workers’ activities, such as playing cards in the bunkhouse, and therefore Crooks is very limited to what he can do around the farm.

Can someone re word this so it sounds less wordy and awkward. thank you in advance
P.S.-Crooks is a person (plural; Crooks's car).

I did not do well on the LSAT, and both times I have taken it I received the same score. I studied hard and even took the Kaplan course that was $1300. My GPA is average and I have done research on my likelihood of getting into schools. I don't think I will get into any. Should I still waste my money and apply. I am applying to about 7 schools and I have 3 schools that the likelihood is average. What do you think?

hi, i was just wondering how you calculate the increase / decrease of cash & its equivalents from the current year and the previous year.

do you use percentages to measure the increase or can you just use numbers (ie, subtract current cash amounts to the year before?) .. or do i need to do it against something? like calculate the percent of current assets comprised of cash .. and compare those against each other?

thanks!

Hi all,

After searching fruitlessly for hours and getting nowhere, I'm putting this question out. I plan on attending a Quebec university to obtain my BA/BEd (or both, depending on the university). I'm still unsure whether I want to teach elementary or secondary, and want to know if holding your brevet d'enseignement automatically qualifies you to teach at both the elementary and secondary school levels regardless of your BA/BEd background.

I'm stuck on fence, as Bishop's University, which is my first choice offers a two-step, four year program that leads to a BA/BSc with a double major in a teachable & Education (HS) or in Educational Studies (Elem.) and then a BEd. Would I be better off going the secondary route (English) or the Elem. EDU if I am unsure?

Thanks!

I'm looking for the correct pronunciation of the word bury. I've heard it said berry, and I've heard it said in a way that rhymes with flurry. Webster says it's pronounced "berry," but I've heard that Webster took some liberties with the English language, and to look at the origin of the word you would think that it would rhyme with flurry.
So I'm trying to find out what the Oxford English dictionary says about it. Please don't tell me how you've always heard it, or what the Oxford American dictionary says, I'm only interested in finding out what the Oxford English pronunciation is, since I'm sure that is the most reliable. Thanks!
