In a sentence like this, does the period mark come before or after parenthesis?

I walked to the door (but I didn't see it was closed).

or

I walked to the door (but I didn't see it was closed.)

What about the same sort of thing, but with quotations? Like:

She came into the room, and said "Hi".

or

She came into the room, and said "Hi."

I have about 25k in student loans that I have accumulated over the years. In my state they will repay your loans if you are a teacher, social worker, and police officer, and nurse. I am a semester away from getting my bachelors in psychology, but wanting to get a masters in social work. My question is should I start repaying my loans now, or should I wait until after I graduate? I want to start a fund for my son school, and want to know what is the best one to do or a mutual fund?

There is Berkeley in California, Berkeley at Yale, Berkeley in New Jersey and New York (I know those two are associated). Are the other's all associated? I cannot seem to find if the Berkeley I am looking at (New Jersey online) is highly credited or credited at all. I would think that if they are all associated then it would be, but I cannot seem to find that answer. If someone could find me that answer or help me to find it I would greatly appreciate it!

Hi everyone. I'm 21 years old and I'm on an study abroad exchange in London England. I am in my third year of University and I still do not have a major... I have taken several different kinds of courses (management, arts/humanities - sociology, anthropology, science - biology, chemistry, math, physics, etc) but I still can't figure out what I ultimately want to study. I'm interested in so many different things..and I've taken a bunch of interest inventories which haven't helped very much. I don't want to end up with a "nothing" degree but I feel like it's too late to go back and start again, and I am starting to panic severely because this education is setting my parents back quite a bit money-wise and so much wasted time has gone by... I am desperate right now and this situation has been distressing and depressing me for many months now. What should I do, or who should I talk to about this? Thanks so much in advance.
