Hi, i am a T.A in a special needs school.
We have a child who is blind and uses the F word to gain attention, also he screams...he seems to know when to do it to gain the most...i.e assembly etc.
We have tried to ignor, change the word, or remove him from the situation..nothing works.
Any ideas...his a lovely boy and only stops when you sing to him but sometimes this is not possible as there are other children and lessons to be got with.

My friend is a big fan of super cars and and he goes every single local car show. I found yesterday he dropped by a car show before his meeting last weekend and no wonder he did not miss any car show even though he was busy. What is good expression for his behavior?

I am 24 years old is it to late to go to college even though I have kids, I look at my sisters and cousins who are in college and having a good life, and sit and wonder did I make a mistake by having kids first before I finished college. I want to be happy just like my sisters and cousins and go to college. Should I forget about going to college now since I have children or should I still persue my dreams?

of my intro and thesis thanks in advance

A wise man once said “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”. This quote exemplifies that to get to were you want to go in life you must always start off at square one. College in itself is one of these journeys. The twists, the turns, the ups, and the downs, college is the ultimate roller coaster in life. With that said, the reasons why I decided to go to college are for pride, financial responsibility and family admiration

A lot of people have told me that it hurts your chances of getting into a college that is out of state if you're from a different state. I guess it would make sense that they would accept in-state students first, but I have also had a lot of people tell me that it actually helps your chances for getting into an out of state school if you're from another state. They tell me that universities and colleges like to have diversity (people from other countries and states) because it makes them look good and that they love to get out-of-state tuition from students. Does anyone have any input on this? I'm very curious considering I'm going to start applying to college soon.

Okay, so here's the deal.. When i graduated from High School, I really did not get much recognition by my parents. Not that I wanted them to buy me a car or anything of that sort.. All i wanted was someone to actually CARE.. It made me feel like a High School diploma was good, but I needed to get something even better to get their attention... So I took the University path.. I went to school for 5 years and FINALLY TODAY i hold in my hands my BA degree.. I am SUPER EXCITED and I want to share my PRIDE and JOY with the world, but all i've gotten is "it looks nice".. Maybe I am over reacting but I feel like i've worked so hard and its discouraging to find out that its really not that important..

Okay I have a dillema. I am a third year college student, but only in my Sophomore year. I hate the major I am and I only picked it because it is what my sister chose and it looked easy. It is easy, but I have not one bit of passion for it. It is psychology. I have no desire to be a psychologist or a teacher, which are the only two things I can do with this degree.
My problem is, I want to quit. I have know ALL along that I am not meant for college. I would rather just get my liscense to be a hair stylist. It is what I have always wanted to do, and I planned to do until Hurrican Katrina came and ruined my plans to go to school for it in New Orleans. I have know from my first semester that it wasn't for me but I tried to keep going to please my family and the expectations around me. I know what I want to do, I don't know if it is the right choice... to do what makes me happy or to just go with what is "right"/what will make me the most financially secure in life. HELP!

I mean there's gotta be debate about this. I am interested in entrepreneurship of the business, and I certainly don't believe it is something u can learn from class. You either have the "gut" to do it or not.

Some of the questions on Y!A are difficult to believe in the extreme eg if I can't afford to fly how long would it take to drive to Australia?

So....do you get taught about other countries in your education system? Would the average student be able to name all the Scandanavian countries?

I am a freshman in college studying english and i intend on going on to law school. I have taken a sample LSAT test and got a score in the range of 141-150 (thats what it said in the book, I'm using the Barrons test preperation book) which is, from what I have seen from the admissions websites of some of the law school I am considering (yale, harvard, columbia, etc. I know, im crazy) relatively low.

I was wondering if anyone of you guys knew of ways to prepare for the LSAT so i get REALLY good scores? (I know precisely jack@#$% about this stuff)
