I'm not sure where in the world you live, but in the U.S., just as there are employers who won't hire people without a college degree, there are those who won't hire people for certain jobs without an MBA. The MBA teaches analytical and decision-making skills, along with things like teamwork, which are needed in mid- to upper-level management.

further your career. For example you can get a good job with just a college business related degree. If you wanted to move up in the business hierarchy an MBA would defiantly be a means of achieving that.

Alot of people consider this a useless degree, but really it is advanced studies in business management,marketing, finance or accounting.

lots of people take it because they want careers on Wall Street, or investment banking or they are already managers and are going back to school for additional training.
