I am a freshman in college studying english and i intend on going on to law school. I have taken a sample LSAT test and got a score in the range of 141-150 (thats what it said in the book, I'm using the Barrons test preperation book) which is, from what I have seen from the admissions websites of some of the law school I am considering (yale, harvard, columbia, etc. I know, im crazy) relatively low.

I was wondering if anyone of you guys knew of ways to prepare for the LSAT so i get REALLY good scores? (I know precisely jack@#$% about this stuff)

The LSAT is all about reading comprehension and logic, so reading a lot should help (good thing you are an English major!), and using the test preparation book, you might regularly challenge yourself to do one or two of the logic problems on a regular basis. If by your junior year you aren't doing much better, you might want to try a test prep class. I never took one, but I got three of those test prep books and studied tried problems from all of them.

The only thing you can really do to prepare yourself is take practice test after practice test. After you take a certain amount you will see where your strengths and weaknesses are, most common is the logic games.

What I did was made flash cards with logic games questions and did them while I was waiting for classes to start so I got practice.

Also a couple months before the test do it exactly like they would at the testing center at least twice so you know about the time constraints the test has.

Kaplan has a book that is really helpful...it is basically their $1000 class in a book format for like $30.

Good Luck...I am so glad I never have to take that test again!
