This is related to my previous post. Yes we all know that teachers are not angels and that a lot are quite horrible. What are some of the exceptions that give an good name to the profession? What are their characteristics?

Choose which word best completes the sentence.

1. Throughout Greek history, the (acropolis, electrolysis) alternately served as a fortress, a religious center, and a political hub.

2. U.S. anarchist Emma Goldman once complained that "the (political, metropolitan) arena leaves one no alternative-one must either be a dunce or a rogue."

The last 3 questions are additional questions, because I ran out of room. Thank you for your help!

Name some of the more unique college majors you've encountered, and which schools you've seen offering them. . . majors that are not offered in many places, and that are outside what most people would consider "normal." Ten points to the best answer.

I have a EFC of 1370,and plan on going to a community college. Does this mean I have to pay for some of the college, and I read somewhere that its good as long as the number is under 3500,also I know it depends on the college inself, but I was just wondering if anyone knows.
Thanks.

I got my Bachelor's in 2001, and have been pondering about whether it's worth it to continue with my Master's.

If I do continue, it will be 2 years, full-time, and will cost me around $40K (for the programme I'm interested in, by coursework, in-campus), excluding my living and commuting expenses, and the fact that I will have no income for 2 years, since I will be studying full-time and not working at all.

Considering the HUGE amount of money this is, is getting this Master's a worthy investment? I am talking in terms of future job prospects, salary and international mobility (e.g. easier migration to 1st-world countries and the potential to hold dual citizenship perhaps?).

$40K is still a huge sum.

I have been working towards graduating on time from college - this may - and I will be finished with my BA in english adn a minor in Comparative Literature - but I recently found out about a minor in Journalism that I can complete in another semester but that would mean not graduating "on time". What should I do - I was planning on pursuing my masters in English starting in the fall as well and am looking for jobs now at the same time - It is becoming overwhelming? What should I do? Get job and pursue the masters, do the journalism and find a part time job for one more semester and then do the masters? - anyone ever in this situation? whats more important graduating on time and just starting to work somewhere or finishing school then working? I need guidance

I was talking to a friend today and she has 2 children with autism. I ahve a child who has mild autisic feature and I began to think - could two moms open a school for children to come to to have a coach and work on 3 goals at a time to learn better social habits and try to better mainstream themselves more for socializing within the family, school and later on work. Can each child be assigned a coach to work on 3 goals 2x a week for 2 hours each time? Work individually and then some time to do a circle like time to practice group social skills. Is this a mode that can be used to help our children? I am social worker and my friend is a speech pathologist and we are parents. There isnt anything like this in our area. Just brainstorming here - so please send my your feedback about this very basic and preliminary idea.

I am looking for a timeline kist that is approximately 8 1/2 x 11, but is folded, acordion style, so that it can be opened to several feet long. I want a blank timeline so that my child can fill in the events herself. I need something other than a roll of paper (too flimsy). It needs to be a good cardstock weight so that it will last and we can build upon it throughout the schoolyear.
