The 1931 Yellow River flood (Huang He flood) is generally thought to be the deadliest natural disaster ever recorded, and almost certainly of the twentieth century (when pandemics are discounted). Estimates of the number of people killed in the 1931 flooding range from 850,000 to 4,000,000. Deaths caused by the flooding include but are not limited to drowning, disease, ensuing famines, and droughts. Lesser population densities in prehistoric times make it unlikely that this toll had previously been surpassed.

no. take a look at geological books that show the earth 200 million years ago was once a single continent called pangaea . the rifting of it apart into the continents we are familiar with today must have involved earthquake activity completely off the chart of energy levels released to accomplish this. however by the scriptures adamic type man has only been here 6000 years so we missed all the big ones that prototype manlike ape creatures and the dinosaurs have experienced .
