No teacher bored me at school. I was fortunate enough to attend a grammar school before the (UK) Labour Government abolished them. Wow! What an experience. Here were all these very distinguished teachers brimming with knowledge and wanting to share it with me. I never saw school as a chore or boring, in fact the very opposite. I left school six years later absolutely bursting with facts and the ability to earn my living. The pleasure one derives from a good education is immense. It makes life far more enjoyable and allows one to appreciate the finer things in life. The only people bored by teachers, of any subject, are those who are either unwilling to learn or too lazy to bother. All I can say to my teachers, God bless them as most are now dead, Is "Thank you so, so much for the time you took to give me the gift of knowledge. I have tried to use it well throughout my life and it has been a fantastic servant for me. Thank you for the enrichment, pleasure, enjoyment and fulfillment you gave me and the chance for me to use my brain to it's full potential. Thank you for never, ever boring me and for giving me the education that all deserve."

I had a few weird teachers of RE, maybe I just didn't know why it was important for me to learn about the differences between the different religions, which is a pity as I feel quite ignorant. Probably I was in with the wrong crowd and just wanted to look cool by ridiculing them :(
Here in Poland (I work here) all kids are taught by nuns and priests as this is part of the Catholic upbringing - preparation for First Communion and then Confirmation, again I'm not sure it's useful for the kids being able to learn about other religions and religious tollerance, but the lessons are usually great fun. For some reason the nuns and priests over here have great contact with the kids and are generally respected, it's a fun atmosphere and the students see it as a way of spending a stress-free lesson :)
