My 10 year old daughter has some homework this weekend and has to find words ending in "ssion". She needs one for each letter of the alphabet. We have found A, C, D, E, I, M, O, P, R and S. Any help with others please. Many thanks.

I've looked for a definition and all I can come up with is that its a biofilm on the surface of a lake. I'm not sure that's right. I'm trying to figure it out because its going to be on a test. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They seem, in particular, to run rampant on Yahoo! Answers. I've seen so many questions where I didn't even understand what the person was asking. I tend to type fast, so I'm prone to the occasional typo, but I always try to remember to spell check.

My favorite pet peeves...

"I want to loose 10 pounds!" <---makes me cringe just to look at it

I really want to go to medical school. I signed up for some pre-med prerequisites my first semester at college, but got very low grades for them (I got a C- in biology). My GPA's so far have been 3.22, 4.8, and 2.67. I am now studying Health Information Management. I know I can do a lot better at my science courses during the summer because I can fully concentrate on them instead instead of 5 courses at once, and I usually get A's and B's for summer classes. If I worked extra hard and got good grades from now on (and take my science classes in the summer), do I still have a chance of getting into a medical school?

I've noticed that a lot of these questions are clearly homework questions and can easily be resolved by the individual doing research at the library or using a search engine. It feels immoral and almost like cheating. What do you think about that? Also if you could provide your age and if you use the forum for homework help.

Help!

My boyfriend and my bestfriend (both taking up Electronics and Communication Engineering) will be graduating next week!

I haven't got the slightest idea what to get them.

As I'm researching different schools... I play the horn and would be a non-major... In Montreal, it looks near impossible to take lessons unless you are enrolled in the music program (not the case for most universities)... Is it just me, or is it dumb for people to put on here "I have a degree in X, what job can I get?" Hello! You went into the stupid degree, didn't you bother to find out how to apply it???? I cant exactly find information on how to write this type of reasearch paper. I'm doing a three way contrast and comaprison (plus other things) of three differnt types of renewable energy. Wind, Water and Solar.

How exactly do I organize this?
maybe like...
Intro: what I'm going to write about and an explination of the three differnt types of enegy?
Body paragraphs: Compare and contrast each one to eachother so id end up with a total of about 6 different body paragraphs.
Conclusion: I'm not exactly sure how to do a conclusion for a reasearch paper. I have written many papers in my life but just not this type.

If someone has just a High School education and wants to further their career, would it make more sense to get a certificate degree which is very affordable and quick, or to go for an associates or bachelors which is very time consuming and expensive? I was looking to get my certificate in paralegal because it's cheap and a quick certification. The certificate would be from a reputable school, so I dont know if that would make the difference...
