I didn't know exercise science was a major. I thought it was kinesiology. BUT, with a BA in kinesiology, there are different concentrations: adapted physical education, physical education concentration, exercise science concentration (maybe that was it), lifetime fitness concentration, and interdisciplinary concentration.
If you want to know what the others can do let me know, otherwise, exercise concentration = students who have an interest in biomechanics or pre-physical therapy. you don't have much options to work with. If I were you, I'd coose another concentration.
for example, lifetime fitness = athletic trainer, chiropractor, physician assistant, registered dietitian, strength and conditioning specialist, certified personal trainer, health fitness instructor, and exercise speciallist. with a degree in lifetime fitness, you have advanced professional preparation for careers in emergency medicineEMT/paramedic, fitness, massage therapy, and wellness.
if you want more information, hit up your university's website and check out the kinesiology section in their catalog. good luck!

My personal trainer is getting a bachelor's degree in excercise science. He would not need the degree to do personal training (there are professional certification programs that a number of personal trainers go for), but he plans to follow it up with a graduate degree in physical therapy. The undergraduate curriculum in excercise science apparently fits well with the graduate program he is considering.
He tells me thta quite a few of the excercise science majors plan to become high school physical education teachers.

You might be able to be a personal trainer but that field is so full and there are so many places that pay absolute crap to personal trainers, its not an ideal profession for anyone.
