Originally, I chose:
Chemistry, biology, history and maths.

Then, I thought to myself that it's going to be suicide for me next year because all those subjects involve masses of work. I want to study medicine in uni and I love chem and bio. I especially love history - it's my favourite subject, the thing is, it involves so much work and essays and along with all my other choices, I know that I will struggle.
So I swapped the history for French instead.
I also love french but not as much as history, however, it's not as much work....do you think I've done the right thing? Will I be at a disadvantage for taking french instead of history? Is a language really desired by universities? Med students, doctors or anyone, please help, I'm so confused!

I have just been browsing the internet and came across articles about GCSEs. Why are they all saying they're easy and standards are falling. These people have not taken them or wasted every weekend for the past two years on perpetual coursework despite according to my school i should be revising now but i cant. coursework is not finished. Then these people that like to critise took probably 10 subjects. i am taking 13. So no way is the o level harder by any means. i am right arent i.

The numerous travel experiences I made influenced my decision of studying travel industry management. I developed keen interest in foreign cultures & languages, but especially in organizing journeys.

I'm pursuing my MFA in creative writing, and someday hope to teach creative writing at the collegiate level. I've been accepted to the MFA programs at Iowa (arguably the top MFA-CR school) and at Columbia University, which is also in the top five. I've always had an attraction to Columbia, as well as its Graduate School of Journalism (I have my Master's from U of Missouri and am considering continuing my j-degree in order to teach, possibly). However, though Iowa is the perpetuated gold standard, I'm really stuck between it and Columbia. I know the difference in the pricetag, but what are some of your opinions?

Today, I got the big envelope from USC saying I got accepted. Since USC already sent a letter saying they won't give me the scholarships I applied for, I won't be going because family can't afford it. My friend said SC will give a lot of money but even if they pay me half the tuition, it's still a lot. So...

I'm still waiting for UCB, UCLA, UCSD to tell me results at end of march. I already got in 5 UCs. (People ask me why i applied to schools i won't even go... well, i dunno where my potentials can take me... safety nets?). Happy to see my potentials met the USC standard. Although, I got rejected by Stanford early decision.

So do you think i can get into UCLA, UCB, and UCSD? I found out I made a typo in my personal statement. I must have accidentally pressed back space when copy and paste the personal statement... because "thirty" turned into "thity". I hope that they won't see it as a flaw and automatically eliminate me.

I'm having difficult concentrating in class and studying the material. I'm taking Anthropology in college and I want to major in Archaeology so I kind of need Anthropology but my teacher is so boring and when she teaches the material it's boring. I was just curious as to know if anyone know the current events of Hawaii? The land is being taken away still. The culture has declined. The language has declined. The cost of living is high and affordable housing is expensive. The local people here can hardly afford rent. It's over crowded. I fear that this paradise will soon be lost.
