The GED isn't very hard if you know the material. Most GED testing centers (like adult education centers or community colleges) offer free GED tutoring, and in some areas the tutoring is mandatory. They will have you take a practice test and see how you score, and based on your score they will teach you the material you need to learn. Contact local testing centers in your area and find out how to get started.

It might be hard for you but you can do it. You might check with your local community college (junior college). Lots of them give GED classes FOR FREE to help you. Look in the phone book in the yellow pages under "Education" or "Colleges". There are people there who care and who will be able to help you get ready. Please do not think you are dumb. You are smart enough to want to do something with your life, and setting a goal is a very very good place to start. If you can't find the phone number, call the high school in your town. They will be able to give you the community college phone number too. Good luck.

Not very hard. My mother took it after being out of school for 23 years (1983) and my brother had been out 22 years(2005). They both passed it on their first try with little or no preparation. They both said it had a lot of math and science, but they were general questions and only a small amount of algebra. There was a minimal amount of History and Language. They have classes here that you can participate in. It is like having your own private tutor. I have heard it is very beneficial. Good Luck.

it's pretty easy in idaho, so i think it would be about the same where you are. you might want to get a practice book from amazon.com or something. both of my brothers took the test at age 16 and passed it, they said it was EXTREMELY easy, but i think they prepared for a few weeks before.
