A properly constructed sudoku puzzle will only have one possible solution.

No. Sudoku is one of the most challenging puzzle games BECAUSE it only has one possible solution. I mean, You get all the way done with the puzzle except for the last square. Then, when you try to put the # in it doesn't work because you've made 1 mistake and have to restart all over again. It STINKS when that happens!

i only use 2 strategies. st 1 use the vertical, horizontal and box check. to get an answer to any box remember to check the box in these 3 ways. st 2 always remember, whether u r beginner, intermediate or advance player, using sequential solving method is best way. i always start from 1 to 9. viola, u r ready to play sudoku. my gf taught me another thumbs up strategy... st 3 use pen for confirm answer, pencil to mark few possible answer, that way u don't have to memorise all th other nos. eg if u have 4 blanks with possible answers 1 2 3 4 but u know 2 boxes are confirmed 1 n 3 then u do markings. so the other 2 u can find the answer, right? :P

I don't quiet understand your question. The point of a Sudoku puzzle is to have 1-9 in each row, column, and square without repeating the same number in that row, column, or square.

There should be only one solution. But, I have gotten some of these cheap Soduko books and some of them, when you get almost done, you can put some of the numbers in either way.

No, there is only one way, doing it any other way would make it come out wrong.
