If I was doing a transaction summary for the year 2006, and one of the transaction summaries was:

"Signed a $25,000 service contract to start Feb 2007"

Should I even debit and credit something? Because it was just signing a contract.

What are the chances of being hired into to be a vet tech/assistant, when you have no experience, although they say they'll train the right person.

I'm going to school in March to study in the Vet Tech program, and I'll be certified after 18 months.

What are the chances of being hired knowing you aren't experienced, but you will be studying in the field? I applied for a vet tech position yesterday, and they said they would train the right person. And they didn't say you had to be certified. I just think it would be good training for me prior to going to school.

I am finding it hard to be motivated to continue my graduate studies because I had a teacher say "don't bother applying to other schools because based on your grades, I don't think any other school would accept you". These were online prerequisite courses for Speech Therapy--So far, I got two A's, two B's, a C and a D. Have you ever been discouraged by an authority figure but somehow found a way to succeed anyway? How did you do it? I'm feeling pretty fed up with the school system. I feel like I totally wasted my money.

I am in the process of applying to business school. I have the undergrad GPA, GMAT scores, and work experience necessary to be a competitive applicant at any business school. However, I'm really fond of the local, virtually unknown, university I attended for undergrad. To make a long story short, if I attend the local school, will it be one of those decisions I question and possibly regret for the rest of my life?

My daughter speaks pretty good for a 6 year old, but because she says things like "at morning we eat breakfast" instead of in the morning we eat breakfast and things like "I'm getting a barbie at shopping." Instead of I'm going to shopping to get a barbie. They think she needs speech therapy twice a week. I correct her when she says things like that and she remembers it the next time she wants to say something similar, but they still think she needs speech therapy. What do you think?

This really popular girl that sits beside me in my history class, is always dumbing herself down just to stay popular. Like we had a test the other day, and we got them back today with our marks. Of course all her friends did bad, and they were saying things like "OMG, I failed, knew I would, I dont even like history though its for nerds and losers". So this girl beside me said to all her friends that she only got 35% and they were all laughing about it. Too bad I saw her test before she folded it up, and it said 72%. Shes often nasty too me because I don't wear Abercrombie jeans, so I said to her "How come you said you got 35% when your test says 83% . . . I just saw it?"

Of course she blasted me for looking at her test marks, but her friends were all like "omg give us your test, you got 72%?" I can just imagine how embaressed she was. She shut up after that.

But I still don't get why it's popular to get low marks in school? It's almost like those girls try to get low marks?

the teacher of my son's grade 3 class has started to give spelling bees. she splits the class in half, and ask each kid to spell aloud one word, the loosing side has to go to the front of the class and do 10 push up's. it kinda puts the kids on the spot, is this not a example of negative reinforcement? hould i allow it to continue or speak with the principal? my son suffers with a anxiety disorder and possibly mild autsim. (in the process of a diagnosis) and we really don't want him excluded from the class, but don't think this should continue.
