Yes, I had these teacher who asked me what in the hell I thought I was doing to begin a social work internship when I had just separated from my husband and had three kids. I wasn't complaining to her, I was just saying I had to work my hours in a careful schedule. I was so hurt and angry. She was so mean! I went in to the bathroom stall and cried and cried. Then I got mad and went to work. I easily passed the internship and two classes I took at the same time. I went down to 95 lbs but I was really determined to prove her wrong!
Not every authority figure is right and some people like to throw their power around when they are at the top so maybe you should look into your own heart and know you are smart and bright and apply to all the schools you want. You can probably take the D class over again to get a better grade, if need be. Don't let one person tell you no. Keep working at it and you'll make it! Good luck to you!

Yes.. they are usually well intentioned and based on what they know about the system.. with a c and a d.. a specialized program could be hard to get into... they usually want peole who can pull a and b alwasy... but hey.. you should try anyway.. you never know.. the standard may not be as high as your instructor thinks.. or you have some other quality that makes you a viable candidate for the program.. good luck..

Yes, but thank God I was stubborn enough and evidently smart enough to make it . I had an evil Algebra instructor (I hate to use the word instructor- drill sargent fits him better), who made snide remarks to our whole class about how dumb we were. I also had a piano teacher who told me the piano was not my instrument- hateful bitty, I was the only one who could stomach her-everyone else quit her class.
You will make it! Good luck! The best advice I ever received was from a logic professor, " get your C or better and get out of this place"

Hey, after F's & I's and not even 3 9th grade credit hours (All I needed to get to Sr. High), at least did get GED... Anything is POSSIBLE if your heart and mind has the thought, you have the power as you are "Captain of your Fate, Master of your Destiny!"
Talk to your counselor or adviser or teacher that thinks better of you...
GREAT LUCK!!!

teacher is challenging you to prove him or her wrong - do it. My daughter was told by a teacher that she was so learning disabled that she would never amount to anything - that got her so mad she went out and got scholarships, awards, trophies, and a Bachelors in Culinary Arts. She is still angry at that teacher - but one day she will realize that woman did what none of us could do with our gentle love and encouragement. go out there and prove your teacher wrong

Some faculty has their eraser in their rear- you would be suprised what kind of scholars get accepted to what kind of programs based soley on the fact they applied.
Apply where you want to, and rub it in the faculty's face when you do get accepted.
