I understand the whole concept of that withdrawing isn't added to your GPA, however it stays on your transcript.

Is it better to have poor grades on your transcript verses a withdraw and an A on the class you withdrew from?

Also, how does having a withdraw effect transferring to different colleges?

I have a son in second grade who clearly is not ready for that challenge, but his teacher says since he didn't score poorly enough on state tests he can't be held back. He is only into the third week of school and he's struggling. I'm trying everything to help him, but he gets frustrated FAST if the work is too difficult. Any suggestions?

Please the word "mollify "( to allay anger of) and "Effusive"( overly emotional) in a sentence.

Doesn't have to be in one sentence, just a sentence for each.

1.Calculate the ratio of surface area to volume for a cube that is 2 cm high. What happens to this ratio as the size of the cube decreases?

2.If a 4-cm cube doubled just one of its dimensions?length, width, or height?what would happen to the ratio of surface area to volume?

....
This is what you know:
A cube has 6 equal sides of 4 cm X 4 cm.
This is what you want to find:
the ratio ( R) of surface area to volume for each cube
These are the equations you use:
surface area ( A) = width X length X 6
volume ( V) = length X width X height
R = ( A)/( V)
Solve for surface area and volume, then solve for the ratio:
A = 4 cm X 4 cm X 6 = 96 cm?
V = 4 cm X 4 cm X 4 cm = 64 cm?
R = 96 cm?/64 cm? = 1.5 cm?/cm?
Check your answer by multiplying the ratio by the volume. Do you calculate the surface area?
