There are over 2000 colleges and universities in the USA. Some are small, some are very large. Some are extremely hard to get into (like, Harvard, Duke Stanford) and many are open to any student who graduated from high school with a decent GPA. Some are open to any student with a HS diploma or GED.
There are many hundreds of different topics or majors you can study. Some schools are in the city, some in the country, some are residential schools where all the students live at the college, and some are mainly for commuters.
So, what do you mean by good? I think that almost any of them would be good to attend. But what do want to get from your college experience?
You need to go to the library or your HS guidance office and read through some of the College Prep materials. THere are lots of good books that will help you find the school that will work well for you.

Lawrence University in Appleton, WI (www.lawrence.edu). One of the best national liberal arts colleges in the nation, and featured in a book entitled "Colleges That Change Lives."
No religious affiliation. Trimester schedule (3, 10-week terms in which you take 3 classes at a time). 10:1 student:faculty ratio. Self-designed courses and majors. Setting in downtown Appleton (~72,000 people) makes this a fun, yet safe college environment. Over a hundred student organizations (including 23 varsity athletic teams). Over 90% of all students receive financial aid.
A liberal arts degree will allow you to explore many disciplines (i.e. natural science, social science, humanities, and fine arts) and prepare you for many career paths. You can major in biology or history and then work in business, or you can major in music and then go to medical school.
