LIst the companies that have gotten into trouble over underage models or Kiddie porn?

Writing a persuassive essay..so far I have Coppertone, Calvin Klein and Abrocrombie and Fitch. Any ideas? I would appreciate it a bunch.

In showing the history of how innocent the ads featuring children were drawing renditions featuring drawings of children (coppertone) and how they have progressively gotten worse. Calvin Klein got into trouble using Brooke Shields in 1980, Abrocrombie and Fitch got into trouble over a marketing a thong line targeting 14 year olds...my topic for the paper is The Sexualization of Children in The Fashion Industry and Its Effects on Society...any ideas?

You have a very dangerous topic here, most companies have some sort of law suit pending for underage models in both mature and pornographic. But becareful to make sure that they have actually been found liable for such crimes. Many companies had their criminal record wiped clean if they were able to post that their models were/or have provided documentation of their age. Check any questionable site in your area online and they will have to have this disclaimer on their site.

coppertone??? seriously???

there are many times that I watch tv commericals and I see babies buttox. If you think that a commerical or product like that has a sexual undertone, then you are going to fail your paper. Focus your paper on the ideas the Abercrombie and Fitch use. Coppertone will be too weak of an argument.

one of the problems is that models like Twiggy and Kate Moss appear to be so young. There is an emphasis on teen-looking models in the fashion magazines. If all the models aim to look like 12 years old then that is what men will focus on (we aren't very clever)

Except me, of course, a mature west indian lady in her 50's would be just fine!
