I moved to Texas about 4 years ago and I work at a Schlotsky's deli. But before moving here, I'd never seen or heard of one. Just curious to know if they are a national franchise or just local to Texas.

that the restaurant received an extremely low rating. What would it take for you to eat there again? I mean if they cleaned up their act and then received a better rating would you still not eat there anymore or what?

i just got back from Pizza Hut, and i ordered a medium pizza. i also ordered an appetizer of bread sticks. i got full off of those before my pizza even got to my table. i ordered the medium pizza for myself, and was going to tackle eating it all. i only ate three slices. the rest i took home.

do you ever get full from just from the little appetizers you get before your meal gets to you?

Does anyone have a recommendation for a restaurant or baker that makes really good cheesecake in the Vancouver/Burnaby area. I'm spending the August long weekend there.

I handed in my resume to Mcdonalds and the next day I got a call back to go for an interview on the next day. The manager on the phone told me that she might not be there and if she isn't then ask for another manager. So when i went to the interview, she wasn't there so as told I asked for another manager. And he told me, "Oh..I'm not aware of any interview, the other manager never told me about this. OK we will call you back". So after this i left, I waited about 2 days and i never got a call back. So i called them back myself. I talked to the manager who called me into the interview, and i told her what had happened. She told me that she had to check her scedule and that she would call me back. After about 8 hours, she finally did call me back and resceduled my interview. The interview was sceduled to be in 11 days.
All this stuff happens for a job at mcdonalds?!! Does all this mean that mcdonalds does not really want to hire me?

I'm in my mid-20s and I'm looking to purchase a condo in NYC. I'm interested in Astoria but I'm unfamiliar with the area. I know it as a family-friendly, blue collar, boring place full of senior citizens. Is this true? Or is it actually fun? Also, how is the commute to downtown? Finally, if I tell a lady in a bar that I live in Astoria, will she think I'm lame? If so, what other areas can you recommend where 1BR condos are <$450k. Thanks.

Astoria residents in their mid-20s will get preference for best answer.

dominos pizza

My partner and I went for a meal, the food was gritty, lettuce unwashed, bacon not cooked well enough, it was contrary to what was advertised. I took the food back and explained the problem, was told it would be sorted. However it came back exactly the same, it had just been transferred onto a different plate. Plus there was a long blonde hair in the food, to which the waitress acknowledged ownership. I had had enough and said I wanted a full refund, my appetite had vanished. I was utterly astonished when I was told that I couldnt have a refund, as we had eaten some of the "stock"!!!!! I am certain that I was entitled to my money back at the very least. Does anyone know if I have a legal right to a full refund?

What is a good tasting food that is least likely to make a mess and that you don't look like a pig while eating it?

I was born with sensitive taste buds I guess because I don't really eat a whole lot of foods. And the ones I do eat, I could care less about. I suppose what I'm trying to say is that I feel cheated because I can't share the excitement that everyone else seems to have. They all say "Oh I LOVE FOOD!" and "Have you tried this?! Oh it's good!!" etc.

When I go out to dinner with people that don't know me, they just look at me funny when I order plain food, as if I just sawed off one of their fingers with a knife. I feel as though they are completely dumbfounded. "What? You don't like to eat this? What's wrong with you? Here, try this. You don't like that either?!?! What!? You're not real are you!"

I feel ripped off. I mean, some things are okay to eat, but I just don't get extremely excited like everybody else. Does anybody feel the same way?
