that the restaurant received an extremely low rating. What would it take for you to eat there again? I mean if they cleaned up their act and then received a better rating would you still not eat there anymore or what?

If your saying a food critic gave it a low rating -- then who cares if I enjoy it I'll still go. If you're saying a health inspector gave it a low rating . . . well then I'd have to really consider whether I wanted to go back. If the rating was super low, I'd wait for the follow up inspection and only go back if the score is now acceptable. I'd also keep an eye on the health inspection scores for that restaurant -- there's one near me who scores low more often than not -- I won't eat there. Every restaurant can be caught on a bad day though.

In this, The Information Age, it is more important than ever to figure out things for yourself, based on the evidence that is available to you. The article running this restaurant down could have been planted by a competitor. It could have been written by someone with a grudge against the owner.

I think about 99% of the "information" we hear is a marketing gimmick of some sort.

So, if I ate there and had a great time (and didn't feel sick) I would go there as long as I continued to have a great time and of course, no one got sick....

Yes, I would go and eat there again. I'm not going to let a food critics' feedback put a damper on my enjoyment. Who knows, maybe the food critics food tastes is different than mine. Now, if your talking about the health deptartments health sanitiation rating and it was low, depending on the problem that was found, then No I would not go back to eat there.

I wouldn't even go by what the paper says in the first place. Everyone has different tastes. Also, people don't always go to restaurants because of the food. A lot of people go for the atmosphere and good service. I go where I like to go, not where the newspaper tells me where to go.

I go by my own experience, or that of someone close to me that I trust, not some random reporter person. The only thing I pay attention to in the paper is the Health Department rating. If they say it's gross, I stay away!

If they had good food and you enjoyed your visit. Don't let the opinion of one person or paper ruin your veiws on the place. Go back and let the staff know that you like it. I think the best things in life are the things we enjoy. Have a great Day!

I think your personal experience is more important than a review in the paper. Remember that critic may have completely different tastes, values, etc. However...if it had to do with sanitation, food safety, pests, etc., DON'T mess with that. Your health is way more important.

Ratings in papers are usually just one persons opinion and isn't really acurate. If you liked it, go there again. Your opinion should be the only one that counts.
