I recently moved to San Diego, CA from San Antonio, TX. I live in the PB area and I can't find a lot of good places to eat. Can anyone recommend great reastuarants? My favorite ethnic food is Thai. I'm hispanic and haven't found any good mexican reastuarants. Can I have help here too? Any other recommendations are good too... thanks

My personal Favorite - Bo Lings. Not all vegetarian, but amazing food nonetheless, and reasonably priced. Their tofu with black bean and garlic sauce is the best thing I have ever eaten. Rated among the top 10 chinese restaraunts in the nation. http://www.bolings.com/

The guy I'm seeing is meeting my parents tomorrow night and we're planning to go out to dinner. We're having a bit of a predicament trying to figure out who pays for what.

My dude is in his thirties, well-established, has a great career and a house and vehicles and all that jazz. I'm in my early twenties, single mom.

My parents don't mind paying, but don't want to offer to do that because they think they'll be establishing a pattern of picking up the tab every time. I could pay, but I think that would look funny and/or awkward, though I have no objections. And we don't at all want to assume my guy will step it up and offer to get dinner - we don't want him to pick up the entire tab either.

What's the procedure on this? We're lost!

The girls wear the ultimate uniform in bad taste, with the ridiculous hat, boots and miniskirts. Then there's the pumping up and down of the lemonade maker. And to be serving weiners skewered with sticks?
I was never at ease working there.

Have noticed that a lot of smaller children don't seem to know how to use cutlery, let alone properly.
Talking with a mouth full of food etc. too.
Or does it not matter to most people these days?

I was having raw oysters and I was pretty excited about it. I gulped the first one so quick that I choked a bit and pieces of ginger went up my nose. My eyes teared up, I was coughing and choking and I had to blow my nose at the table. Really gross. I'm crushed, but it is my favorite sushi bar as well as a great place for oysters. Is it okay to go back?

I will be in Toronto, Ontario on Thanksgiving. I will be in the downtown area without a car. If there's any place in Niagara Falls, that would be o.k., too.
