Nick's in Rosemont is AWESOME. I also agree that about Port Edwards in Algonquin, it is more than 20 miles, but there are some great spots in Chicago. You know, Pappadeaux in Arlington Heights used to have all you can eat Lobster on Thursday nights for $30 bucks...

Shaw's crab house in schaumburg is not too bad. Kinda expensive.

dover straits in schaumburg. they have jazz bands on the weekends and dancing. seafood is good.
to the suggestion above of chinn's, chinn's is good but not romantic.
