No. I was about this age when I first "did it" and it is one of my biggest regrets. First, at that age, it isn't going to be all that great b/c you're doing it with others in your age bracket and they don't really know what they are doing. They are just doing it b/c they have all these hormonal urges at that time. Second, sex should be about so much more than pleasure and urges. It should be about connecting with that special someone with whom you are in love with and who loves you the same way. And that kind of love is few and far between. Finally, I would hold on to your virginity as it is one of The Most Important Gifts you have to offer and it can only be given ONCE. Thus, you should choose very carefully to whom you want to give that gift.

P.S. How did this end up in the dining out category? :)

Well i lost my virginity at 16 and thats because i was in love with the guy i did it with and i knew that it was with someone i can trust, and me and him are still together and i am now 19. it really depends on yourself, if your really ready, if the guy really cares and loves you for you, those are things you need to find out first. if you already know the answers to those then you only know what to do. i waited a long time to having with my boyfriend eve though he always told me he would never use me for sex.. i still waited until i was ready and trusted him enough and i did. and we are going on 3 years together. The big difference with sex..is if you are in love with that person its more meaningful then anything else because your happy and so is he..but if it's just puppy love, then it wont last and neither will the sex and it might be something down the road you might regret.(also guys who are your age are noramlly too immature to handle a good and real relationship..thats why i always went for the other guys..but it is also vise versa)

I don't think that it is worth it. I think that young women should save it for as long as you can. I mean now days there are so many risk, just genital warts alone can give you hpv virus that causes cancer. Why rush into something when you are not mentally, emotionally, nor financially able to handle all the possible consequences. Like pregnancy,HIV,syphillis, herpes, hepatitis, etc
I just think that you are very smart for asking that question. Because allot people jump right into it. I wish I would have only waited until I was at least 18.

No, you can never get it back. Don't waist it. Any man (boy) that would break up with you because you won't do that isn't the type of man you would want to end up with anyways. If he truely loves you, he will wait.

Trust me, I wish I had waited, I fell into this trap that I had to do it to stay in the relationship and be loved. My self esteem crumbled and took years and my husband to build it back up.

Please, be stronger than I was and wait. It takes a stronger person to wait than to give in. Besides, no matter what anyone tells you, there is always a chance of pregnancy. The ONLY 100% way not to get pregnant is to abstain. A pregnancy before marriage makes your life 1000 times more difficult.

Look i'm 16 too so I know I don't know everything, but I know that if someone loves you enough they'll wait. I'm sorry to sound like an afterschool special but it's true. Wait until you're at least 19 or something, marriage would be better. I've heard from many that it's much better and pleasurable when you wait until you KNOW it's right... and since you're questioning it, i don't think you do.

no, not only is it spiritually and mentally challenging when you lose your virginity (you can't get it back), but also if you have a bad situation like the boy is telling all of his friends or he dumps you right after or you are pregnant or get a disease then you would have wished you never had sex before marraige. (A little advice, if you a virgin until marraige, before marraige you and your fiance need to go together to get tested for HIV and him for other STDs)

No.

But young love is.

Only do it if you love him SO MUCH that you CAN'T STAND not doing it with him.

And if he's not all that, then save it, because I guarantee there will be one coming along who WILL be! You'll know the right time for sure!

And btw, that's what MAKES it great.

Hell no! Don't do it if this question pertains to you personally. Highly overrated. If you wait for just the right oerson it means so much more and is more fulfilling.
