I want to mount a plasma TV above the fireplace, but that height is too high for viewing. I would like the plasma to be able to be lowered when watching TV and then be raised to above the fireplace when I want to use the fireplace. By the way, I am thinking about a 50" plasma. Any ideas?

I tried BBBonline. I did not find NWV Direct, but, I"m not sure I made a proper search. They're offering 3 yr. ($1501-$2500) RepairTech ext. warrenty for $110. Others offer the same for around $200. They say they sell it wholesale is why they can offer it so cheap. I'm looking for any feedback concerning this business. Thank you

I am looking to get a TV for my husband for X-MAS. I want to get a flat screen that can mount on the wall. Plasma TVs are out of the question because they are more than I can afford. What are the pros and cons of an LCD? And what is better? Wide scrren or full screen? I really can't spend much more than $1000. Thanks for any tips!

I've heard there are only 3 manufacturers. I have a Viore labeled by Walmart and don't know who actually made the TV. Can't find the code for it on my remote without knowing.

I know the prices have already dropped so much, and I may be pushing my luck for asking them to go any further, but will after-Christmas sales for HDTVs be significant enough to make it worthwhile to wait and buy?
