I have a 7yr old 62" sony TV and the picture is turning black and white. Does anyone know what could be wrong?

Yeah your color guns are going out. Or your Red Blue green pixels on your tube is fading. Or your color just needs adjusting, or your tube just needs degaussing. Or could be your color generator going out. Could be any of those. Sony is differen from the other TV's it uses a linear electron gun instead of electron guns aimed a triangle of three dots,for want of a better word. (red, green, blue) on the tube which gives you the picture.
