remote problems?

i have a rca tv that is about 51/2 years old, and i just got a new remote(also rca), but i am unable to get the input screen that allows you you to wahct dvds, and play games. Why is this, and hoc can i fix it>?

u need to turn it to CH 91 or 92 I think for ext AV

try chanel 00 that could be the problem that since you have a new remote or go to 01 and push the down button untill you get there. that should work.
