Next year is the best time to buy new tv esp on 1080p as it becomes the standard in hi def, all other tv makers will be jumping on the bandwagon. Wait until early spring best bet is towait till January and see the new TV'S and etc coming out in the CES fair (consumer electronics show") It has been reported in many parts of themedia that flat screen tv's are droppingin price faster and fastereveryday since there are so many companies building them.
Right now this is the best one ive seen although Samsung comes close

Right now i saw at sears today for $3099.99 the Sony XBR 1080P full HD TV.

don't listen to marsalis P. Actually, I saw a 60 inch at costco wholesale for $2,400 with a beautiful stand, and it was 1080p. You can get it now, but shop around before you strike a deal. Go to stores like BJ'S WHOLSALE, OR COSTCO, AND YOU WILL FIND A GOOD DEAL.
