i have a rca tv that is about 51/2 years old, and i just got a new remote(also rca), but i am unable to get the input screen that allows you you to wahct dvds, and play games. Why is this, and hoc can i fix it>?

some remotes have codes to work for the tv cable and dvd player+more mines is like that.

Are you trying to scroll to it? Perhaps there is a button that is there to select the video screens. That button may have 2 functions & there may be a button that allows you to change or 'toggle' between the functions.

push 01 and then push the down button on the remote until you get there. that should work.
