Will a Canadian DVD Player work in Australia?

I've got a bunch of plug converters so that's not the problem, but will i have to buy a multi-region dvd player from Australia? Or can I use my multi-region player from here (Canada) with the plug converters?

If you have a Region free dvd player you will be able to use it to play any dvd from anywhere. I have one I got here In USA and it works fine in Korea.

Does yours cover this region? I can't remember what region we're in here. It might be 2...
