My dad gave my family an 2 options for buying a tv
1) Buy a 60" sony tv
2) Buy a EPSON 80" high-definition projector, and a 50" high-definiton tv, instead of a 60" inch.

Tell me what you think. The tv will go in my family room, if we choose the 80 inch prjector it will go into my basement where we already have some sofas set up, so its good to go.

My boyfriend has found a HD ready, 42 inch, Samsung, rear projection TV that he wants to buy. Its a cheap price so a real bargain. The only problem is that I am buying him and XBOX 360 for Christmas and I have heard that it will mess up the TV if it is played on it. Is this true? Will he be able to play the XBOX on it without messing up the TV?

We have a 32" new Vizio LCD and when we try and hook up a DVD player through the components in the rear of the TV the screen is blue-ish. We cant seem to get full color. When we use the the RCA cable outlets on the side, it works fine. Help? We have tried 2 different DVD players and our PS2 AND replaced our component cords. Any ideas???

Hi,
I was just wondering if it was worth it to actually get the extended warranty Best Buy offers for TVs. I can understand getting the warranty for a laptop as you can carry it around with you and there are many different parts inside but for a TV I'm not so sure. If you buy a good quality TV (in my case LG) should you really worry about it breaking down in under 3 years? Just curious as $300 is a lot to pay for a warranty.
Thanks.

...just got an hdtv. It picks up some digital channels pixelized with no antenna. I have a few general antennas throughout the house. Will any of these work, or do you need a special HD or Digital antenna?

Should I buy an LCD, Plasma, or DLP? and whichever you chose, tell me the best brand. Having a flat TV does not matter to me.

I'm going to buy an xbox 360 but the TV I have now is only a 9 inch. I don't really need a flat screen or anything fancy, just a nice larger (than what I have now) TV that is at a really good price (the xbox is going to hit my wallet pretty hard as it is). Any Advice?

I've read that if an HDTV includes a QAM tuner that it can receive unscrambled HD channels without the need to rent a box from my cable company. So I'm assuming they must include a connection for a F type coaxial cable.

Does anyone Know?

(I just ordered the Symphonic 32" LCD HDTV from Walmart)
