Contrary to popular opinion, Sony is no longer the leader in quality like they used to be. Mostly everything is made in China anymore, use your own eyes to determine what you think is the best picture. Also, different manufacturers have a line of products that range from entry level (cheap) to expensive. Only differences are cosmetic.

well, i to would go with the companies sony, and toshiba. At home I have two tvs a sony and a toshiba. They are both excellent in quality, and durability. With that deal, I would go for it with the Toshiba with shipping. Samsung also has good quality, but it isn't better than toshiba or sony. do not go with companies like lg, rca, or philips, their quality isnt really that great.

I just bought a Samsung 32" lcd, LA32R71BD, which has a built in hd tuner, its brilliant!!!! Looked at heaps, researched heaps, but the colour and clarity on this baby is heaps better than anything else. Contrast ratio 5000:1 If you shop around you should pick one up for $1800 - $2000 (aus)

Buy Sony ( costly) LG ( Medium priced)Samsung ( low price) but if you are in USA better by Sharp LCD TV is very very competitive priced. Also you can connect your game player and view a better picture. Also you can use as a monitor for computer if you have video out socket on your computer.

I just bought a Samsung and have been pleased with it. Since price is not an issue, you might want to go with Sony...
