There are so many types of batteries on the market. The warnings state not to mix different types of batteries. I don't think I've ever heard the reasoning. Can you charge a Nickel Metal Hydride rechargeable, on a Nickel-Cadmium battery charger? Can you charge both types of batteries on the same charger, at the same time (If the charger supports both types)? If a charger charges diffrent types of batteries, How does it know the diffrence? They don't look that high tech....I 'm not even getting into the Lithium /Titainium thing......thanks

I want to know if you buy a HD receiver [say ebay or bestbuy] that is for dish network or directv can you just use it to get free over the air stations? Or will they be locked and you will have to pay for them to work?
I have a HDTV that was not made with a receiver or tuner built into it. I need to find a good receiver so i can watch free over the air stations in my area.
I DO NOT WANT TO PAY SOMEONE SO I CAN WATCH FREE PROGRAMS!
I can use the analog but I want to be able to get the digital also.
I would like to bid on one at ebay but want to know the facts first.

I answered a question on Yahoo answers just yesterday. The answer I gave was obviously not what the asker wanted to hear but it was in no way vulgar or inappropriate. But now the answer is not listed in my answers section and I can't find the question again. Where did it go?

okay, so my laptop lead adapter is going, and i need a new one

the one im currently using for my laptop says
"input 100-240V 50-60hz 1.7A"
and "output 20v 3.25 A"

but i have had a look on ebay and though i CAN find ones witht he same input, i can't find any that go up to 20v, usually around18-19.5v for output, are the highest rating i can find

so i was wondering if i bought one that was 18v, 19v or 19.5v output and 100-240v input, would it still work?

please help me, i am desperately needing a new lead and i cant find any info anywhere. thanks for you're time.

Hello, I was trying to understand the basic TTL inverter and how it works. You can go here http://www.play-hookey.com/digital/experiments/ttl_inverter.html to see an image. I'll refer to the transistor on the left as (1) and the one on the right as (2). So basically if a LOW is on the input, the diode junction(1) is forward biased, causing the current to flow AWAY from the base(2) which causes transistor(2) to be "off" meaning no current flow from collector(2) to emitter(2) causing the output to stay HIGH. If the input is HIGH, the diode junction (1) does not get forward biased, causing reverse current (?) to flow into the base(2), turning transistor(2) into saturation treating it nearly as a short and putting the output to LOW.

Is this right? Is the part about the reverse current to flow into base (2) correct? can you explain it any better??

In my son's room, we realized that we are changing the bulbs in his room like every few days to a week. Not just the main one in his ceiling fan, but in his closet as well.. any ideas why this is happening? We've been in this house for about 3 years & this just started. No where else in the house. Any advice welcome.. Thanks.

I'm sorry, I know this is really vague and undetailed, but does anybody know the title of the song where like that guy says "I looked on the charts and you weren't there"? It has a sort of Egyptian theme I think. And I think somebody in the song says "We're gonna party all night" or something. Thank you for any help!
