In my son's room, we realized that we are changing the bulbs in his room like every few days to a week. Not just the main one in his ceiling fan, but in his closet as well.. any ideas why this is happening? We've been in this house for about 3 years & this just started. No where else in the house. Any advice welcome.. Thanks.

Depending on the bulbs that you are using. I too ran into this problem not too long ago. I did switch to the more "green" bulbs, the energy efficient and that seemed to do the trick for me. Just be careful, they still put off a great amount of light...the labels aren't always clear. If they continue to blow, i'd suggest you are having surges in that room. If you know anyone who knows electricity, have them come do a reading just to make sure it's not sending too much current. That could also be a fire hazard. Good luck!

Some house wiring may use the light supply and the wall supply on the same circuit breaker. If you also have a window air conditioner it may be producing spikes (power surges) and zapping those bulbs.
