I have Win XP and usually with my old camera when i plugged it in with the cable a pop up would come up and through there I could upload photos.... but that's not happening with this one. I have it hooked up with the cable to my computer and turned on and it still won't show me any signs of how to upload them.

I would like a good digital camera for the Summer. I can't have anything to expensive, just an up-to-date one with good picture quality. As I said, nothing to expensive because I am only 14 and dont have a lot of money to work with. Thanks!

i hooked up the usb cables and read the user manual now my husband is out of town and don't want to worry him over some petty stuff so i thought i could ask someone on here and yes i have common sense and have tried to do it myself so if you can't be more simpathetic don't bother answering my question i don't need any smart remarks i did what it says and it says the device is not connected right so it won't transfer the images to my computer

Hi, I need to get a new camera and need to keep it as cheap as possible. I know some of you may say "yuck", but I had a Kodak Easyshare (can't remember which #). It only cost like $97 and I really liked it in general. It really took nice pics, but eventually, the door where the batteries go busted right in half and fell off. Kinda cheap junk!

Anyhow, I need to know what to look for and maybe some personal experience with specific cameras. I need it to be as cheap as possible (FOR SURE under $200, preferably less!) I just need something to take nice snapshots, as I don't print out a lot of them and if I do, I rarely make them extra big, so the quality of larger prints is not a major issue.

Also, I don't have a lot of time until I need it, so online resources may be interesting, but I would prefer if anyone could tell me where to GO get one, so I don't have to wait for it to come in the mail.

Thanks!

Is there a website out there that has a good reviews and suggestions for digital cameras? also, i want good pricing. I want a website that has the latest and greatest cameras reviewed and updated.

yes, I should have an idea of what I want, but there are so many cameras out there, I don't want to get one and find out that there a better one for the nearly the same price.

any websites suggestions?

I was thinking about this camera ( http://wize.com/reviews/canon-powershot-sd1000-digital-camera ), but I don't know if I truly want it.

Is canon the best for cameras?

I got this new memory card for my camera. It is 512 MB. Almost every time I take about five pictures on it, it starts coming up with 'write error'. I even went back to the store and got a new one. I have formatted it, too. I have another memory card that is only 16 MB and it never says 'write error' when I use that memory card. I can use all the space on that one and nothing will happen. Is there any way to fix it??

I'm looking to buy a digital camera, between 80-130 pounds, can take video as well as pictures but im concerned about battery life. I've found a few which looked good but I clicked on reviews and they were all slaughtered because of poor battery life. Can anyone tell me a camera with good battery life, and around my price range? It would be a great help, or even just say about your own camera and how good/bad it is. Thanks guys...

My camera is a Canon Powershot A520, and when I was checking how much memory I had left, I accidentally presssed the wrong button and formatted my card. I am on vacation in another country, so I am really worried that I will need to go back to all of the places that I have been to retake the pictures, or should I not worry about it because it can be fixed when I get home? I am just wondering how likely it is that thye are still somewhere on this SD card. Thank you
