When will the Canon 40D come out?

I might be a little slow on the news or, it's really not out yet. Does anyone know when it will be released? And also, what will be the starting price?

Most people were waiting for a 40D announcement at the recent PMA show...but it didn't happen.

Canon should announce more models around August/September...so keep your fingers crossed.

Not sure how much it will retail for...but it won't be cheap.
