I had someone set this up for me. It took him but a couple of minutes and I was happily downloading and sending. A screen automatically came up and I simple clicked on it and all my pictures came up. Something has changed as my screen simply gives me a pop-up that says I should check my connections. Gosh, I did everything I normally do, hook up to a port on the back of the computer, the other end into my camera and then turn the camera on. Always got the screen that I selected to download. I do not have any idea, put fresh batteries in, reinstalled the drivers, check every port on the computer to see if I was hooking up to the wrong one. I'm at the end of my abilities. I need to start from scratch. I have a Vivitar 3715 and a new Dell Dimension computer with as I said Windows 2000 XP. Help!

Does it take back to back pics or do you have to wait a few seconds before you snap the next picture.

I was curious because on the Beta of the new Yahoo! Photos, it tells you the make and model of the camera used to shoot the picture.

If you have a source to cite, the reference would be appreciated.

I have a special project I am in charge of for work. The process involves reviewing Medical Records and taking copies of the pages I need. The Records are bound so getting the 5 pages I need from a 50 page document is cumbersome. To date, I have been marking the pages I need and then photocopying them. I have the opportunity to expand this project to many other institutions, but don’t want to spend several thousand dollars for a copier for each place. The desktop scanners I have looked at are too slow and would require use of PC or Laptop onsite. I was thinking maybe taking digital pictures of the documents was the answer. I can get big memory cards (because we usually need copies of 500 - 2000 documents at a sitting), take the camera and any necessary tri-pod with me. Does anyone have any ideas about this process or recommendations for type of camera or equipment that would help?

I was at a country bar, Kodiac Jacks in Petaluma, CA late July and I put my purse in coat check but then kept my camera on hand. It was a brand nes SD 550 Cannon camera, so I figured it would be safer to hold on to it.

Later that night I ended up putting it in coat check, I handed it to the coat check girl who placed it into my purse (I saw it go in). Then later on when we were leaving I discovered it was missing.

I was told they would review the tapes and give me a call the next day. They didnt. I called the next day and was told they would look into it and then call me the following day. They also neglected to do this. Finally after about a weeks worth of calling they refered me to another man who has also neglected to call or return my phone calls.

They claim that only the employees have access to the coat check area. Does this mean they took it?

Im not as annoyed by having my camera stolen as by their extreemly uncooperative and unprofessional behavior.

Suggesions?

I need a high speed secure digital card for a 6 MP camera, but don't know what the minimum recommended speed is. 60X (9MB/sec)? 80x(12MB/sec)? Can anybody make a suggestion?

I'm looking for a camera with the highest possible zoom I can find. I already learned to look for optical zooms, but sometimes I run into something like this in the description instead: "28-120mm zoom lens..." or a variation of numbers like that. It's confusing me...because I'm used to looking for the simple 5x optical zoom; I don't know how the "mm" figures compare. If you can help, I appreciate it. Thanks!
